PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Prodigy Cultural Arts Program needs a part-time program assistant to perform administrative duties including tracking reimbursement requests, data collection, reporting and data entry for grant compliance. Coordinates Prodigy Program registration and reporting activities, assists students with problem resolution and consults with Director or other appropriate personnel for direction. Prepares mailing lists for regular communications with program participants’ parents/guardians, organizes mailing process for surveys and other informational items. Coordinates the financial and program status reports with Program Director.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year general office experience including data entry, fiscal reporting and/or accounting, and one year working with students.   Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication, customer service and computer skills required. This is a grant-funded position that comes up for renewal annually. Schedule: Usually M-F, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, but hours may change occasionally based on program needs. $8.17-$10.00/hour with excellent benefit package including medical insurance, paid time off, child care, facility usage and YMCA-paid retirement upon eligibility.

YOUTH SPORTS LEADER

Part-time opportunity for enthusiastic individual experienced in working with all levels of programs in physical education and sports. The Youth Sports Leader is responsible for providing input in developing the Physical Education and Youth Sports Department budget and is accountable for administration of the program in accordance with the established budget. Previous experience in youth sports and physical education program delivery and administration required.

Must have ability and desire to work with the diverse needs of all participants and set an excellent example of character values and member service. Current CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid certifications required. 20-30 hrs/week, including evenings & weekends. Excellent benefit package including health, dental, retirement & paid vacation upon meeting eligibility requirements.
