Aquatics
At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every person, from children to seniors. We provide swim lessons that use a variety of fun methods to help overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. We also have a variety of water fitness classes that provide aerobic activity in a low impact setting.
The aquatics facility at the Jim & Heather Gills YMCA is equipped with a large, heated pool with six lap lanes, spa & dry sauna, a two-story water slide, zero depth entry, and a children's waterfall. We serve approximately 94,00 people annually through swim lessons, water aerobics, aquatic therapy, and water safety classes such as first aid, CPR, and lifeguard certifications.
