YMCA Dance Academy

The YMCA Dance Academy offers programs for all ages. From Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop to Adult Tap classes, there is a class for everyone keeping kids and adults active and healthy! Kelly Homman, Dance Director, studied dance with Rose Marie Dickman and BalletMet Columbus. She has choreographed and directed numerous productions including the Nutcracker, Cinderella and Peter Pan. She has successfully passed ballet examinations for the Cecchetti Council of America, a professional ballet organization for teachers, and studied the Royal Academy of Dance's preschool ballet curriculum. She is currently the Dance Adjunct at Perkins Elementary and is thrilled to establish a dance academy for the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg.

SCHOOL FOR THE YOUNG DANCER

Your young dancer will learn age-appropriate technique, musicality, and rhythm to develop a love of dance and prepare them for our next level.

Creative Movement:

• Tuesday 9:30 to 10:00am
• Wednesday. 11:00am to11:30am

Tumbling for Toddlers:

• Monday. 10:00am to10:45am

PreBallet/Tap Combo ages 3-4:

• Tuesday. 10:00am to10:45am
• Monday. 4:15pm to 5:00pm
• Monday. 5:00pm to 5:45pm
• Wednesday. 6:00pm -6:45pm

PreBallet age 5-6:

• Thursday 4:00pm to 5:00pm and 5:00pm to 6:00pm
