Each summer, YMCA Summer Campers participate in the YMCA Spelling Bee at locations across Greater St. Petersburg. Spelling bees are a fun way for students to gain public speaking experience, develop a sense of sportsmanship skills and mitigate summer learning loss.

At Speer YMCA - Monday, July 14, 10AM - 12PM & 1PM- 3PM
At Jim & Heather Gills YMCA - Tuesday, July 15, 1PM - 3PM
At Bardmoor YMCA - Wednesday, July 16, 1PM - 3PM

During the same week, the top winners will move on to compete in the final bee at Childs Park YMCA on the evening of Thursday, July 17, 2025. You will be notified if your child is a finalist and invited to attend!
