The Middle School Academies

YMCA Before-and-Afterschool Teen Program

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg provides FREE, innovative before-and-afterschool programming for students in 6th through 8th grade at three local middle schools through The Middle School Academies (TMSA) program.

  • For students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade
  • Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 6:00PM
  • Includes non-student days and holiday breaks
  • Club-based programs in the morning
  • Academic support in the afternoons

By incorporating activities and resources that engage students in academic growth and achievement, the program aims to help them to foster a love for learning while providing a support system and serving as a motivator. The YMCA strives to cultivate a safe, welcoming environment where students can feel a sense of belonging and achievement as they grow in their commitment to learning, positive relationships and as engaged, empowered individuals.

Child must be a student at the school site where the program is held in order to enroll in the program.
