Summer Bridge
The Summer Bridge Program led by Pinellas County Schools prepares students for maximum success when the next school year begins. The YMCA Before-and-Afterschool Program extends Summer Bridge hours and offers engaging reading, mathematics, science activities and outdoor education. Weekly themes will include hands-on experiments and project-based learning. Space in the Summer Bridge program is limited, and offered on a first come, first served basis.
Pinellas County Schools has partnered with the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg and the Juvenile Welfare Board (JWB) of Pinellas County to provide this program for FREE, but students must be invited by the school district to attend. ELC rates will vary per student (please inquire for details).
IMPORTANT: You MUST be invited by Pinellas County Schools to enroll in the Summer Bridge Program.

Understanding In-School Versus Out-of-School Weeks: During Summer Bridge, Pinellas County Schools provides instruction to students during specific times, days and weeks - referred to as In-School Weeks. When instruction isn't provided, the YMCA steps in to provide Before-and-Afterschool care and enrichment, as well as full-day care on the remaining days and weeks of Summer Bridge - referred to as Out-of-School Weeks. School locations will be consolidated, as outlined, on days when Pinellas County Schools isn't providing instruction. Contact your site director with any questions.
