10 themed weeks & field trips for ages 5* - 12

*5-year-olds must have completed kindergarten.

Day Camp is a summer-long program that features the Y's renowned curriculum, developed to help close the summer learning gap, while integrating physical exercise, structured and spontaneous play, literacy, STEM-based activities, field trips, swimming and more.

Our Curriculum

Daily schedules focus on supporting each child's academic achievement through a variety of strategies, including:

Additionally, camp will follow weekly summer camp themes with disguised learning activities.

Aloha Summer

June 2 - 6
Field Trip: Bowling

Say "Aloha" to summer! With beach-themed games and tropical activities, the first week of camp will feel like paradise!

Ocean Explorers

June 9 - 13
Field Trip: Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Dive in, explorers! We'll embark on an underwater adventure, learning about sharks, dolphins and the unexplored depths of the sea - and your imagination.

Blast From The Past

June 16 - 20
Field Trip: Celebration Station

Travel back in time, from the groovy vibes of the '60s, to the rad '80s and everything in between. Get ready for nostalgic games, retro music, classic crafts and throwback challenges that will make you feel like you're stepping into a time machine.

June 23 - 27
Field Trip: ZooTampa at Lowry Park

Unleash your wild side as we take a safari to learn about animals from all over the world while exploring animal calls, unique habitats and more.

Party In The USA

Celebrate America during a red, white and blue colored week. Campers will enjoy patriotic activities while learning about the USA.

Ahoy young buccaneers! Prepare to hoist the sails and embark on the adventure of a lifetime filled with treasure hunts, daring challenges and unforgettable camaraderie!

Y Superheroes

July 14 - 18
Field Trip: Treasure Island Fun Center; YMCA Spelling Bee

Discover your inner super power! Campers will be tasked with missions that encourage movement, creativity and imagination - all while helping others.

Holiday Extravaganza

July 21 - 25
Field Trip: Catapult Adventure Park

Campers will celebrate a different holiday each day of camp! We'll make holiday crafts, discover traditions from around the world and feel the spirit of giving with a toy drive for the YMCA Neighbor to Neighbor Christmas Program.

Out of This World

July 28 - August 1
Field Trip: St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club; local park

To infinity and beyond! Campers will take off and explore the universe through special events, arts, crafts and virtual adventures!

Camp Carnival

August 4 - 8
Field Trip: End-of-summer party including a bounce house and cookout

Step right up and experience a week of games, dazzling performances, face painting and endless fun! It's time to celebrate all the fun, friendships, and memories we've made throughout the summer.
