The Y is a Voluntary Prekindergarten provider

The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) prepares 4-year-olds for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development.

Juvenile Welfare Board's Turbo Babies Program

With a focus on the first 1000 days of a child's life and an emphasis on adult/child interaction, Juvenile Welfare Board's Turbo Babies Program helps families and caregivers of young children engage in best practices to promote early learning with the children in their care. The program cites research supporting the importance of early childhood development in the first three years of life and provides strategies that can be incorporated not only at home, but in our classrooms at Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy.
