Fall Prevention Programs

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is proud to offer two fall prevention programs that aim to help older adults stay more active, energized and independent. Individuals can enroll in one or both of these Community Health Programs simultaneously.

Modifications will be available, so those with a chronic condition such as arthritis can move at their own pace. Participants can use chairs for support, if necessary, and choose the weight they use for strength training.

Programs Include:

"Thank you. The workshop was very informative in a very comfortable, non-judgmental style."

- Bardmoor YMCA Healthy Steps for Older Adults participant

"This was a good workshop covering a lot of information about the way to prevent falls. Thank you!"

- Bardmoor YMCA  Healthy Steps for Older Adults participant

"The Enhanced Fitness for Seniors is a life changing program. I will be a member of this class as long as you offer it. I am a disciple for spreading the word about the benefits of continued and active participation in the Enhanced Fitness class. The instructors are knowledgeable and professional. The program is Great and Life Changing!"
