Fall Prevention Programs
The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is proud to offer two fall prevention programs that aim to help older adults stay more active, energized and independent. Individuals can enroll in one or both of these Community Health Programs simultaneously.
Modifications will be available, so those with a chronic condition such as arthritis can move at their own pace. Participants can use chairs for support, if necessary, and choose the weight they use for strength training.
Programs Include:
- Enhance®Fitness - an exercise program that incorporates cardiovascular, strength training, balance and flexibility exercises
- Healthy Steps for Older Adults - a fall risk screening and education class
