YMCA Before-and-Afterschool Teen Program
The YMCA provides FREE, innovative before-and-afterschool programming for students in 6th through 8th grade at select schools through The Middle School Academies (TMSA) program. By incorporating activities and resources that engage students in academic growth and achievement, the program aims to help them to foster a love for learning while providing a support system and serving as a motivator. YReads! Literacy Program
The YReads! Literacy Program provides students with the intensive reading instruction they need to succeed. Students are referred by teachers to work with YMCA staff and mentors in small groups during two one-hour individualized sessions per week. Reading skills are measured using both i-Ready Diagnostic tests and informal assessments to provide targeted instruction and track the results of the program. Learn More
