Lucas Fleming Joins YMCA Board of Directors

YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg announces the addition of Lucas Fleming to our Board of Directors. With an extensive career spanning over three decades in criminal law, Lucas brings an invaluable perspective and expertise to our organization. Throughout his career, Lucas has helped countless clients with substance abuse disorders and mental illness by advocating vigorously for treatment instead of incarceration. 

Beyond his legal career, Lucas is the founder of Lawyers for Literacy, a nonprofit dedicated to helping disadvantaged children pass the Florida Standards Assessment Test and build a foundation for success, lowering their risk of involvement in the juvenile criminal system.

He is an active member of various professional associations, including the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, St. Petersburg and Clearwater Bar Associations, and the former president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

We are excited for this addition to our Board of Directors and look forward to working with Lucas in building stronger, healthier communities.
