Jason Jensen Joins YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg Board of Directors
YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is proud to welcome Jason Jensen, AIA, LEED AP, to its Board of Directors. Jason brings extensive leadership in architecture, urban planning, and sustainable design, along with a strong commitment to community-centered development that aligns closely with the YMCA’s mission.
Jason is the President and CEO of Wannemacher Jensen Architects, one of Florida’s most respected privately held architecture firms. Under his leadership, the firm has delivered projects that strengthen civic life, promote wellness and create lasting community impact through thoughtful and sustainable design.
A particularly meaningful project for YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is the Speer YMCA and Mangrove Bay Middle School campus, an innovative shared-use facility that brings together youth development, education, and community wellness in one integrated space. The project reflects Jason’s ability to translate mission-driven goals into built environments that expand access and serve families across generations.
Jason is a recognized advocate for sustainable architecture and designed Florida’s first LEED Platinum community center in Largo. His work has earned numerous honors, including AIA Florida Firm of the Year and Tampa Bay Firm of the Year, along with individual recognition from AIA Tampa Bay and the University of Florida.
His community service includes leadership roles with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Great Explorations Children’s Museum and St. Anthony’s Foundation.
We are honored to welcome Jason to our Board of Directors and look forward to the leadership and perspective he will bring as we continue to serve the St. Petersburg community.
