Childs Park YMCA Reopened Today, Wednesday, July 29

Last Wednesday, an isolated incident involving two individuals with no affiliation to the YMCA occurred at the Childs Park YMCA. We are grateful that no YMCA staff, members, program participants, or guests were injured.

Childs Park YMCA was temporarily closed following the incident and reopened today, Wednesday, July 29.

We are deeply touched by the patience, understanding, and support of our members, families, staff, and community partners throughout this time. YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the Childs Park community and providing a place where individuals and families can connect, grow, and thrive.

As our community continues to heal, our thoughts remain with everyone affected by last week's events. We look forward to welcoming our members and neighbors back and continuing our mission of strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
