About the Program
Embracing the true meaning of social responsibility, the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is once again teaming up with our community in 2025 to bring the spirit of Christmas to nearly 400 families and nearly 1,000 children. For more than 30 years, the YMCA Neighbor to Neighbor Christmas Program has provided families in need with the joys of a traditional Christmas.
Families receive a live Christmas tree, ornaments, holiday dinner, books and toys
Each child receives a free full season of youth sports or aquatics
Families receive invitations to all YMCA Family Fun Events throughout the year
As we reflect on the holiday season, we are reminded of the incredible generosity that made it so special.
Your support of the 35th Annual YMCA Neighbor to Neighbor Christmas Program brought joy, comfort, and hope to 359 local families and 795 children across our community. Because of you, families woke up on Christmas morning to beautifully decorated trees, thoughtfully chosen toys (4,770 distributed), and warm holiday meals provided by Publix, during a season that can be especially challenging.
While the holidays mark a special moment, your impact continues well beyond December. The YMCA remains alongside these families throughout the year through youth sports, family programs and community events that strengthen connection and create opportunity. This program is about more than gifts - it’s about neighbors showing up for neighbors. On behalf of the YMCA team and the families you supported, thank you for the care, compassion, and commitment you share with our community.
